Just this year I think I have slipped and fallen either on my face or butt each day about 5x. Freakin' black ice is everywhere and my clumsy self falls every time I step on it. So you all are lucky you don't probably have to deal with it. >>

Am I missing something? All the ice and snow I've seen appears white in color? Right Joe? Black Ice? eh?

Black Ice is basically ice that you can't see. Like you would think an area on the ground is just water from when you melted the snow or look completely dry and you step there and slip and fall because there is ice. Usually though it is on pavement not sidewalks which is where the term black ice came from.
